Technology has become part of the fabric of everyday life and this will soon be true for consumers with developmental disabilities as well. This session will highlight the state of the art in cognitive technologies designed specifically to support independence at home, in social networking, and for community access and employment. Technologies for today and tomorrow will be discussed which take advantage of the convergence of mobile, desktop, and online resources to improve quality of life for consumers while improving efficiencies for providers.
