Networking and Mentoring
In true community, ANCOR members are actively building bridges
to help providers connect around common needs and shared experiences. We understand
that the greatest learning takes place in a dialogue among people and are aligning
our programs and services to foster and encourage a high level dialogue among
providers wherever they are. ANCOR membership provides this direct access to
leading practices and practitioners and assists providers in establishing and
maintaining standards of quality.
Our members take a proactive role in improving the quality of
services and supports, and through membership in ANCOR have reduced frustration
associated with federal and state mandates. Our members are anxious to mentor
newer, smaller, and more diverse agencies as they begin their mission to support
individuals with disabilities. In addition, ANCOR takes the initiative to link
members with similar needs, interests and concerns in order to provide an active
network for solutions and answers to questions and issues- an invaluable asset.
Many ANCOR members are involved in regional programs and committee
work, offering numerous opportunities to exchange and share ideas, innovations
and strategies or to provide a sounding board for you to work out your own plans
and ideas.
