The 2010 ANCOR Governmental Activities Seminar is all about celebrating community living and the providers and public policy that move us forward with that vision. This conference will feature informative sessions on critical Federal issues, such as Health Care Reform, policies and litigation effecting community integration, and the way the policies of today shape the services and supports of tomorrow. Join with ANCOR members from across the nation as we hear from key administration officials and other insiders on Capitol Hill about the issues that matter to you most. In addition to our coverage of Federal issues and strategy, we're offering inspiration for state-level advocacy from providers who share the brilliant techniques they've used for success in their states.
We're once again encouraging providers registered for the seminar to also bring their DSPs to DC for a program that includes the latest in best practices and advocacy and culminates in visits to Capitol Hill where DSPs can tell Congressional staff - in person - why urgent action is needed to resolve the direct support workforce crisis. Plus, we're going to be presenting the national and state DSP of the Year contest winners.

It's ANCOR's 40th anniversary, and we're hosting a very special event at the National Portrait Gallery, featuring an exhibit of self-portraits created by individuals served by ANCOR members. Members of ANCOR’s 40th Anniversary Membership Club will receive an invitation to this event.
