Carol Mitchell

Carol Mitchell is President and CEO of Verland, a PA private non-profit agency, consisting of several 501 (c) (3) corporations, serving 222 individuals with mental retardation and other challenging conditions in four (4) western PA counties. Carol started Verland in 1978 for one of the loves of her life, David W. Tresch, who just turned 50 and has lived happily at Verland’s ICF/MR in Sewickley for 25 years. She has been involved in the MR field for 43 years and has been Verland’s CEO since its inception.
