Continue Calls: Votes Expected Today or Friday on Scaled Back Extenders Bill with FMAP Provision

After unveiling the slimmed down modifications made to the Senator Baucus (D-MT) substitute amendment (see legislative text and summary) and additions to jobs/tax extenders bill last night,  Reid filed cloture Wednesday setting up a Friday vote—but working to secure agreement for vote as early as today.  Changes of offsets and jettison of some pieces designed to get support from moderate Democrats and Republicans, such as Senator Snowe (R-ME).

The bill retains the $24 billion, six-month extension of federal Medicaid assistance from January to June next year. ANCOR encourages its members to continue to call your Senators per last week’s Action Alert.
