DOL Announces FLSA Listening Sessions

Next week, the Department of Labor (DOL) will conduct two “listening sessions” regarding the Fair Labor Standards Act. During the sessions, DOL will solicit public opinion on whether it should modify the "companionship exemption" to give home care workers federal minimum-wage and overtime protections.

The sessions will be conducted between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. EDT on both July 25 and July 27. Those interested in participating should call (888) 730-9140 and enter the pass code 34478.
