As part of its advocacy leadership on the Money Follows the Person (MFP) program, ANCOR will be participating in a national call-in day with coalition partners to ask the Senate to support the EMPOWER Care Act, which would renew funding the for the program. The call-in will talke place on February 1, 2018 – you will find talking points, numbers to call and other such resources here. If you have an extra five minutes, please also contribute your stories to the national social media day on February 2nd.

Your advocacy is important to renew this vital rebalancing program, which expired in 2016 and helped more than 75,000 people with disabilities and chronic conditons move from state-run institutions to the community. Over 44 states rely on MFP funding – if the program is not renewed, they will lose any funding they had set aside by 2020.
