The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a Notice for Proposed Rule Making (NPRM), proposing a rule that would exempt states with high rates of comprehensive Medicaid managed care from analyzing data and monitoring access in fee-for-service delivery systems. Click here to access the NPRM – the page also has instructions on how to submit comments. Comments are to be submitted to CMS by May 22, 2018.
While ANCOR does not yet have an official position, we are taking this issue very seriously. We are currently analyzing the NPRM and will be coming out with an explanatory document for ANCOR members in the coming weeks. ANCOR will be submitting comments.
