ANCOR is sharing this announcement by the Department of Labor (DOL) as an update on this previous story:

The deadline to apply for the Excellence in Disability Inclusion Award has been extended to November 1, 2019!

The award – a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and the Office of Disability Employment Policy – recognizes federal contractors who are leaders in expanding opportunity to Americans with disabilities in the workplace.

The deadline extension means your organization now has more time to complete and submit your EDI Award application!

This year’s Award recipients will be recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor for their work and will receive a three-year moratorium for OFCCP compliance evaluations. Additionally, a post-award “Year of Engagement” will provide opportunities for contractors to share their best practices on disability inclusion with other employers.

During this extension, employers who have already submitted an EDI Award application can update their application if desired.

Applications now close November 1, 2019. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to have your business recognized for its commitment to supporting Americans with disabilities.
