EVV: ANCOR Leads Coalition in Penning Letters to House, Senate

ANCOR continues to play a lead role in Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) advocacy including, most recently, our efforts to organize the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) to pen letters of support to the U.S. House and U.S. Senate for H.R.5912 and S.2897, sister bills that would delay EVV implementation for one year and mandate a public comment period.

As written in the letters of support: “Even with the recently released subregulatory guidance on May 16, 2018, there is still an alarming lack of clarity on a number of basic requirements of the EVV program less than eight months before the implementation deadline. A significant delay in implementation is needed to ensure that the privacy and civil rights of consumers are protected, that the administrative and financial burdens on service providers is neither onerous nor duplicative, and that states are able to design and implement their EVV programs in a thoughtful, deliberative manner.”

Take action by sending emails to your members of Congress to ask them to support these bills, and learn more at our EVV Resources and Action Center.
