The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued guidance for states seeking a good faith exemption from the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) statute. The agency stated it will accept good faith exemption requests from July 1 through November 30, 2018. If you wish for assistance discussing with your state officials whether they will request an exemption, please contact Esme Grant Grewal, Vice President of Government Relations, at [email protected]. For more information on guidance by CMS to date on EVV and on ANCOR’s advocacy efforts on this topic, please visit our EVV Resources and Action Center.

EVV Delay Bill Update: We are waiting for word today that the Senate bill passed the “hotline” and had no opposition from either party. Following clearance, it will move to the Senate floor for a procedural voice vote. Stay tuned to ANCOR for the latest!
