“NAMD has learned that CMS’s rewrite of the Medicaid managed care rule has progressed to the point of final review at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). OMB may take up to 60 days to review a rule with the option to extend its review period if necessary. We anticipate that the rule rewrite is likely targeted at a few specific issues and therefore will not require extensive OMB review. However, exact timing of its release is difficult to predict, though we expect the rule to be publicly available in late summer or early fall.”
ANCOR submitted comments back in July of 2015 to the original Medicaid managed care rules and will be interested to see what the new proposed rule will propose and whether it will require further comment from the association.
