“Thirty-three organizations on Wednesday wrote to Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), saying that the GOP bill intended to protect patients with pre-existing conditions would be an inadequate replacement for the ACA.
“We share your interest in continuing to make health insurance accessible to Americans with pre-existing conditions and appreciate your efforts to preserve certain protections in law,” the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association and other organizations wrote. However, the current bill “falls far short of providing coverage and security to your constituents,” they wrote. Read letter.
