Sen Committee Approves Immigration Bill to Ease Rules for Foreign Health Workers

On Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed an immigration bill that would make it easier for foreign health professionals to work in the United States. The "Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Modernization Act" was introduced by Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) last month. Among the provisions in the bill is one that would increase the number of waivers a state receives to exempt health professionals on J-1 visas from returning to their home country after two years.

CMS Work Group Reports on Former Criminals Employed in LTC Settings

The CESP Credential: The First National Certification Program for Employment Support Professionals

The Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC) was established in 2011 by APSE, The Association for People Supporting Employment First. The ESPCC was founded to establish and implement policies and procedures for the first national certification program for job coaches, employment specialists and job developers, known as Employment Support Professionals (ESPs). The council oversees the development and implementation of the Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) certification standards, process and examination.
