Imagine!, a private service provider in Lafayette, CO, cultivated a thriving partnership with the University of Colorado to provide person-centered technology solutions for use by the individuals that receive supports and services at Imagine!. Through this partnership, University of Colorado engineering students collaborate with Imagine! to create inexpensive, technology solutions that address everyday challenges faced by people with disabilities. Presenters from Imagine! and the University of Colorado will share their experiences in creating this partnership, their lessons learned, and ideas on how you can create similar collaborations with local universities in your communities.

Fred Hobbs, Director of Public Relations, joined Imagine! in 2005. He has been a marketing and communications professional for more than 20 years, including more than 15 years in the nonprofit sector. Fred holds a BA and an MBA, both from the University of Colorado.
Melinda Piket-May, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Electromagnetics, RF, & Microwaves in the Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering department at the University of Colorado. Among her various research projects is extensive research into low cost assistive technology devices (mechanical and electrical). The research is available open source. She is also involved in undergraduate Engineering Education and Engineering Design.
Brodie Schulze has been working with the CORE/Labor Source department of Imagine! in Colorado for four years as a DSP. He also works with their behavioral services department as a behavioral interventionist providing in-home services. Brodie is currently pursuing his MA in Applied Behavior Analysis, and also has an MA in Philosophy and Theology.
