The Area Manager is responsible for providing managerial oversight and operation of a multitude of programs (day program, residential, foster home) in the IDD/Human Services field. This position is responsible for personnel, program, coordination of services and supports, and the maintenance of high-quality service and supports to vendors, persons served, and other stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assure that services are in compliance with licensing, certification, and regulatory standards for all services provided under the assigned caseload.
Assure the ongoing presence of choices in the participants’ lives.
Maintain responsibility for the management/supervision of all staff.
Participate in the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for personnel.
Assume a leadership role in the development and implementation of organizational philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Assist in promoting a positive and professional culture
2-4 years experience within the human services industry experience, specific to developmental disabilities (DD) or intellectual disabilities (IDD) populations.
2+ years of Supervisory experience.
NICE TO HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, or a related field
Prior experience and knowledge working within Residential, FHP, ADT settings (day program, residential, foster home)
