Through early intervention, children’s therapy services, early learning, Pre-K, and after school programs, and adult community living support and employment services, Tobosa ensures that families and individuals have the resources and tools they need to thrive.

Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience including knowledge of developmental disabilities.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.
- Experience in finance, marketing, sales and community outreach.
- Interest in and desire to work or a nonprofit organization that advocates for individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge in strategic leadership.
- Passion for leading and mentoring others.
Preferred
- Advanced degree in business administration, finance, human resources or law.
- Extensive professional experience in executive and leadership roles.
- Extensive understanding of the nonprofit industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Tobosa Developmental Services seeks an exceptional, mission-driven leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Reporting directly to an engaged and highly committed Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee a $12 million operating budget and a team of more than 250 employees. This pivotal transition offers a unique opportunity for an experienced and values-driven executive to build upon a strong foundation while guiding the organization to broader outreach and greater impact.
The ideal candidate will bring strong financial and operational expertise, including proficiency in government contracts, reimbursement models, and cash flow management. This leader will think strategically and holistically, evaluating programs and future opportunities with a focus on mission alignment, sustainability, and community impact. Skillfully cultivating and stewarding relationships with key stakeholders will be vital to the organization’s financial health.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership and Vision – Work directly with the Board and leadership team to set Tobosa’s strategic direction, promoting organizational sustainability and operational excellence.
- Financial Oversight and Risk Management – Direct complex financial operations, ensuring strong cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and thoughtful resource allocation to support mission-critical programs.
- Program Evaluation and Mission Alignment – Evaluate existing programs and future opportunities for mission alignment, financial sustainability, and measurable impact to the communities served.
- Board Partnership and Governance – Collaborate with an engaged Board of Directors to align strategic priorities, strengthen organizational governance practices, and share timely, accurate information.
- Executive Team Leadership and Staff Culture – Lead, mentor, and support an experienced executive team and staff; build trust, empower leaders, and foster collaboration among team members of varying tenure.
- Innovation and Growth – Identify emerging community needs and opportunities for growth, championing the organization as a leader in disability services and advocacy.
- Community Engagement and Advocacy – Serve as a visible ambassador, strengthening relationships with media, civic partners, and government agencies to expand the organization’s reach.
- Operational Excellence and Compliance –Oversee government contracts and grant requirements, ensuring administrative, legal, and contractual service compliance for all programs and services.
