Position Summary
The Psychologist is responsible for providing a variety of psychological services to individuals and groups throughout RSI, including assessments, counseling, behavior analysis, behavior and emotional support plan development, and participation in team planning to meet the unique needs of the individuals RSI supports. The Psychologist provides training, leadership, support, consultation, and coaching to RSI staff on positive behavior and emotional support, teaching social skills, behavior analysis, and monitoring of plans for effectiveness and fidelity of implementation.
The Psychologist models and promotes professional, clinical and ethical values and standards, and upholds RSI’s mission and values at all times while working in partnership with the individuals RSI supports, families, RSI staff, and outside agencies.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in psychology from an accredited college or university.
The desired candidate should have experience designing and implementing behavioral support plans and experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Psychologist at Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive psychological services and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes conducting individual and group assessments to identify strengths, needs, and areas of support, as well as developing and monitoring behavior and emotional support plans tailored to each individual’s goals. The Psychologist will also provide therapeutic counseling services and conduct functional behavior assessments and behavior analyses to inform positive behavior support strategies.
In addition to providing direct services, the Psychologist will train and coach direct support professionals and other staff in implementing positive behavior and emotional support practices. This involves ongoing consultation, evaluating the effectiveness of support plans, and modeling professional and ethical best practices in all interactions. The Psychologist will collaborate closely with RSI leadership, staff, families, and external professionals to ensure a person-centered approach to care, actively participating in team meetings to provide clinical input and develop individualized plans of care.
