If you answered yes, then you might be the powerhouse leader we’ve been waiting for.

About the Role:

At Starpoint, we don’t just provide residential services — we create homes, build independence, and create opportunities of joy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Residential Director is the strategic leader who makes it all happen. You’ll oversee a variety of residential programs (Group Homes, Host Homes, Personal Care Alternatives, and Independent Living) while leading a dedicated team, managing major budgets, and ensuring the highest standards of care.

This isn’t just a job. It’s a mission. It’s a movement. It’s where your leadership will truly matter.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Make real impact — every decision you make improves lives.
  • Lead a passionate, supportive team that works hard, laughs often, and shows up for each other.
Work for a mission-driven organization rooted in values of inclusion, empowerment, and compassion.
  • Grow your leadership with professional development and opportunities to innovate.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or other related field preferred
  • 5+ years of management experience in a role with similar budgets and oversight
  • Strong leadership experience in residential or healthcare services — bonus points if it’s in IDD or Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS)
  • Deep understanding of HCBS Waivers, Colorado regulations, and person-centered planning or willingness to learn
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets, billing systems, and compliance audits.
Sharp computer skills and an eagerness to learn new tools and systems
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Passion for promoting independence, dignity, and community for people with disabilities

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Leading a high-performing team of Program Managers and DSPs — mentoring, coaching, and building a positive and collaborative culture
  • Owning the operations — from crisis intervention to continuous improvement, quality assurance to compliance with all things HCPF, CDPHE, and Medicaid Waivers
  • Driving data-informed decisions — overseeing billing, charge reports, and budgetary performance across all programs
  • Innovating with heart — bringing a person-centered, forward-thinking mindset to every residential plan, meeting, and initiative
  • Working cross-functionally — ensuring residents receive wraparound support, healthcare, transportation, and everything they need to thrive

You Are:

  • A driven, mission-aligned leader with a passion for people and precision
  • A strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • A calm-in-a-crisis kind of pro who leads with confidence and compassion
  • A budget and billing boss — numbers don’t scare you; they motivate you
  • A people-first manager who understands person-centered care is everything
  • A compliance guru who knows the regs — and meets them with excellence
