On Friday, the day begins with a staff presentation about lessons from states on barriers to providing more care in the community rather than in nursing facilities, followed by an updated review of federal requirements to promote quality improvement in Medicaid and CHIP. After public comment and a break, the Commission will vote on all recommendations for the June 2021 report to Congress. This will be followed by a staff presentation on efforts to validate and analyze Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) data to examine policy questions. The meeting concludes with a panel discussion about the ways that states adopted telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic, and lessons learned for the future.

Public comments. MACPAC will request public comments at designated points during the webcast; please see the meeting agenda for more information. To ensure that we can hear from all, please limit any oral comments to three minutes. Written comments may be sent at any time to [email protected]. As always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions.

New from MACPAC. MACPAC recently updated its Child and Adult Core Set quality measure reporting dashboard. New publications include the March 2021 Report to Congress on Medicaid and CHIP, and recent testimony on Medicaid and CHIP in U.S. territories.
