Through ANCOR’s continued commitment to advancing person-centered thinking and supports, we are excited to offer a three-hour workshop, specifically designed for providers operating ICF/IID programs. Workshop participants will learn about an innovative approach to the Functional Assessment process that melds the development of innovative Active Treatment with the reality of the regulatory requirements within the ICF/IID program.

This three-hour workshop will teach ICF staff to rethink the Functional Assessment and Individual Program Plan processes within the ICF/IID program. In this workshop, QIDPs and other ICF staff will:

  • Learn how to drill down to what matters most and what is critically important to the individuals supported.
  • Become more confident and empowered with innovative goal and objective development.
  • Discover ways to engage all members of the ID team through a thoughtful, functional assessment process.

The workshop will be taught in two parts. Part 1 will be a two-hour webinar that will include instruction on the above-noted takeaways with specific focus on assessments, regulations and processes. Participants will be given assignments at the end of Part 1 to apply the lessons from the lecture; they will then report out on those lessons during Part 2. Part 2 will be a one-hour session in which the presenter will lead a discussion about the assignments and how the insights from those assignments can be applied moving forward.

Training Schedule

  • Part 1: Wednesday, August 18, 2021 (1-3 pm EDT)
  • Part 2: Wednesday, September 1, 2021 (1-2 pm EDT)
