#ForgottenFaces Advocacy Training: Leveraging Social Media to Amplify Your Agenda

In May, ANCOR launched the #ForgottenFaces campaign to tell our federal government that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and the essential providers on which they rely, can no longer afford to be overlooked in our federal response to COVID-19. Since then, we’ve been equipping a diverse range of advocates with the tools they need to lend their voice to this critical effort.

In this skills-building webinar, presenters will walk attendees through the nuts and bolts of using social media, primarily Twitter and Facebook, to urge lawmakers to support the pandemic’s #ForgottenFaces campaign. This webinar has something for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned social media veteran or you don’t even have a Twitter account. No prior experience is needed to start making a difference for this campaign and future advocacy!
