  • Has your member of Congress sponsored ANCOR legislation? It is always advisable to take just a few minutes to learn a few basic facts about your members of Congress before you communicate or meet with them. For example, if you are asking your Senator if they would like to co-sponsor the 2013 Senate Resolution designating National Direct Support Professionals Week, look at the list below to find out if they have ever sponsored it in the past. Similarly, when you meet with House members to educate them about ANCOR’s National Advocacy Campaign, look to see if they have been a supporter of ANCOR’s wage bill in the past – if the answer is yes, you can start your meeting thanking them for their previous support!
