In Response to California Fires, ANCOR Updates Disaster Relief Page

Historically large and devastating wildfires are burning across most of Northern California and leading to an increasing death toll, leading many to evacuate, including IDD supports and services evacuating the persons they serve. In response to this tragedy, ANCOR has updated its disaster relief page with resources for those who want to help California providers. California providers might also find Governor Jerry Brown’s most recent announcement on California securing federal assistance for the fires useful, as well as this link specific to the state’s emergency response to the October fires. As part of a coalition of Western U.S. Senators, California U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein is sponsoring proposed legislation to update the system for allocating federal funding to combat fires.
