ANCOR Joins Letter to CMS Asking for Extension on Availability of ARPA Funds

ANCOR joined a letter from the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) asking CMS to extend the March 31, 2024 deadline for states to expend funds authorized by Section 9817 of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Under the ARPA statute, states are required to expend the funds received under the federal match enhancement by the March 31 deadline. The letter asks CMS to extend the deadline, especially in the wake of a “rapidly worsening direct support workforce crisis.”
