President Biden Nominates Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court

On Friday, President Joe Biden nominated federal appeals court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court. Judge Jackson is currently a federal judge serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Following her formal nomination, the U.S. Senate must now vote to confirm her as the next Supreme Court Justice. If confirmed, she will be the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
