As DSP Recognition Week (September 12-18) draws near, as well as ANCOR’s Policy Summit that focuses on the workforce in crisis, Foothold Technology wants to celebrate and advocate alongside our community!
To celebrate the DSP workforce, we launched an initiative to bring together stories of DSPs doing amazing work. We will be building a digital kudos board that we will share with the community during DSP Recognition Week. To support the advocacy for the DSP workforce, we are hosting a panel discussion with a few thought leaders in the industry to have a conversation about the current DSP workforce crisis. The DSP workforce crisis has been a concern in the I/DD community for too many years, and the pandemic has only amplified that concern. Providers are constantly thinking of ways to address the situation. Legislation, like the Better Care Better Jobs Act, is being developed to address the workforce crisis, but will it be enough?
