The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has included in its unified agenda a proposal to “reexamine current regulations under which States are required to assure NEMT for all Medicaid beneficiaries when they have no other means of accessing medical services. The goal of this proposed rule is to provide States with greater flexibility as part of the administration’s reform initiatives.”

The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) is expected out by May of 2019. No additional details are available at this time but ANCOR will keep members informed of developments with this proposal.
