Enable, Princeton, NJ Sharon J.B. Copeland (right) is retiring as CEO on August 31. Sharon led the organization for 15 years. Under her direction, Enable has more than doubled in size. To quote the president of Enable’s board, “her excellent leadership has positioned Enable for continued successful and strategic growth to meet the demands of our challenging and evolving field of service.” Lisa Coscia (left) was named CEO effective July 10. Lisa joined Enable as COO in August 2016. She has over 20 years of experience managing multi-state human services operations with budgets approaching $150 million and over 1,000 employees. Enable serves over 500 individuals, seniors and their families through in home, residential and day services.
KAPP, Louisville KY Shannon McCracken, Executive Director of KAPP, Kentucky private providers association will be leaving the association. She has accepted a position with ResCare as the Vice President of Kentucky Operations and Special Projects effective August 1. Shannon previously was a provider and started her own company, Commonwealth Case Management. During that time she served on multiple volunteer leadership positions with KAPP, including part-time volunteer executive director until 2016 when she became their first full-time executive director. She grew their membership from 45 provider agencies to 120. Shannon has been a committed volunteer with ANCOR and will continue to be in her new role at ResCare.
Johnny Callebs has been named the new Executive Director of KAPP. He was the Board Chair for KAPP. Johnny was a Regional Director with Independent Opportunities, London KY and was in a senior management position there since 2001.
Keystone Human Services, PA Ann Moffitt has retired from her position as Vice President of Community Development at Keystone Human Services. Ann served as a board member and treasurer for the ANCOR Foundation and was active in other ANCOR activities over the years. She was named an ANCOR Legacy Leader in 2017.
Opportunity Living, Lake City IA, Dave Staver, who has been executive director since 1999 and retired in June. Dave was a long-time member of ANCOR. Shannon Mahannah has been appointed Executive Director. She had been Director, Manning Family Recovery Center for the past five years. Prior to that, Shannon served as Director, Prevention Services at New Opportunities, Inc., in Carroll, Iowa.
RHA Health Services, NC Sandra “Sam” Hedrick has retired from RHA Health Services. Sam has been at RHA for 14 years in various executive roles, including President of RHA Howell. In addition to her work at RHA, Sam has a varied background as an RN, JD, publisher, public defender and advocate. She has been a very active ANCOR member over the years, serving on the ANCOR Board of Directors and also the Board of Representatives. She has always been very involved in ANCOR’s Government Relations Committee.
UCP, National, DC. Rick Forkosh (right), has served as the Interim CEO at UCP National for the past year. Rick has retired from that position. Armando Contreras (left), former CEO of UCP of Central Arizona for 7 years, was appointed as President and CEO effective June 5, 2017.
Vermont Care Partners, VT Maryls Waller, Developmental Services Coordinator, retired in June. Maryls was the point State Association representative for this Vermont Association to ANCOR for many years.
