Let’s Rejuvenate!

Robert Budd, ANCOR PresidentSpring is in the air! A time for regeneration for many!

‘Bridges,’ our Annual Conference theme, seems so fitting at this time and in this environment. I hope many of you are able to join us in Portland, OR, for this year’s conference. Such a conference was my original introduction to ANCOR many years ago. The diversity of perspectives on so many pertinent topics from such quality professionals from all over our nation left me hungry for more and became the root of my commitment to ANCOR. Today, I have trusted colleagues who are an email or call away to brainstorm opportunities, or champion an issue.

The informal benefits of the networking opportunities were — and remain — an equally dynamic part of the conference. I believe I continue to learn and grow from this part of the experience in equal measure to the formal keynotes and sessions. Colleagues who are now dear friends have shared the same experience, and this year we have the ANCOR Foundation Reception: An Evening on the Willamette Star, which will add another dimension to the conference! It’s guaranteed to be a highlight of our time in Portland.

Spending time in close proximity with, and learning alongside, kindred spirits who share core values and support continuous evolution of our field is truly a time of rejuvenation! I hope to see you there!
