Senate Finance Committee Schedules Official Hearing for HHS Secretary Nominee

On January 9, 2018 the Senate Finance Committee will be hosting the official confirmation hearing for Mr. Alex Azar, the President’s nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). This is not to be confused with the unofficial hearings held in the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee last year. The Senate hearing will begin at 10am ET – please click here on January 9^th to watch the hearing live. As a reminder, Mr. Azar hails from Indiana, previously served at the Department of HHS under President George W. Bush, and is widely known for his connections to the pharmaceutical industry.
