While the Administration has not yet officially named a replacement for Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Service (HHS), two more names have been circulating over the past week. David Shulkin, who currently heads Veterans Affairs, was mentioned in a Wall Street Journal article as having been interviewed by the White House. Leaks from the White House have since denied that, and rumors in Washington D.C. are now centering on pharmaceutical executive Alex Azar. Before working for drug manufacturing company Eli Lilly, Mr. Azar worked at HHS under the George W. Bush Administration.
ANCOR will continue to monitor the nomination process and keep members apprised of new developments.
