The Administration for Community Living (ACL) awarded more than $85.4M in American Rescue Plan funding to state and territorial Adult Protective Services (APS) programs.

APS is a program provided by state, territorial, and local government “to support older adults and adults with disabilities experiencing abuse, neglect, self-neglect, or financial exploitation.” APS programs also investigate reports of maltreatment and connect clients with a variety of protective, emergency, and support services. The funding will be available to 55 APS programs to provide infrastructure improvement, including services to support clients to recover from maltreatment and program support.
