ANCOR Awaits Proposed Overtime Rule

ANCOR continues to await the release of a proposed rule from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) that would update the minimum salary level required for employees who qualify for an overtime exemption from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

DOL first announced its intent to review the regulations in the fall of 2021 with a tentative proposed date of April 2022. After several months of delays, DOL issued its spring regulatory agenda noticing a proposed rule to be issued in October 2022. However, DOL did not release the rule in October and has yet to offer update. ANCOR will continue to monitor this proposed rule and will provide updates as they are available.
