ANCOR Meets with New Medicaid Director Mary Mayhew

On Monday, December 3, 2018, ANCOR staff and Board Members met with the new Director of Medicaid and CHIP Services, Mary Mayhew to gain an understanding of her priorities and discuss opportunities for partnership. It was a constructive meeting, with Director Mayhew entering the room already aware of formal letters ANCOR either sent to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), or coordinated with Congressional offices to send. These letters concerned access to technology, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), and obtaining federal recognition for direct support professionals (DSPs). ANCOR used the time to also discuss the workforce crisis and challenges with new electronic visit verification (EVV) requirements.
