ANCOR Submits Comments for the CMS Request for Information About Access to Coverage and Care in Medicaid & CHIP

On Monday April 18, ANCOR submitted comments to the Request for Information (RFI) from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), entitled “Request for Information (2022): Access to Coverage and Care in Medicaid & CHIP.” The purpose of the RFI is to gather information and recommendations from stakeholders to inform CMS’s development and implementation of a comprehensive access strategy for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

ANCOR’s comments focused on Objective 5 and provided recommendations to ensure payment rates in Medicaid and CHIP are sufficient to enlist and retain enough providers so that services are accessible. ANCOR also signed onto coalition comments from the Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities and the Partnership for Medicaid.
