ANCOR Submits Comments in Response to DOL Proposed Rule on Independent Contractors

Last week, ANCOR submitted written comments to the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) proposed rule regarding the classification of employees and independent contractors under the Fair Labor Standards Act. ANCOR’s comments focused on the impact of the new rule on longstanding interpretative guidance governing shared living arrangements. ANCOR asks for clarification from DOL when it publishes its final rule that the current interpretation of shared living arrangements is not in conflict with the proposed rule and remains the interpretation of DOL.
