Last week, the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN), a national Autism advocacy group, released a new resource titled, “A Self-Advocate’s Guide to Medicaid“. This resource is the third of several that ASAN is developing to equip self-advocates to participate in important conversations about their lives and the services they rely on.
The guide is divided into six parts:
Medicaid introduction and background
Who Can Get Medicaid?
What Does Medicaid Pay For?
Medicaid funding
What Could Happen to Medicaid?
Summary and Glossary
There are two versions of the guide: an easy read edition which includes pictures and white space, and a plain text version which omits pictures. Both versions are available here.
