CCD Issues Follow Up Response on “Disabled America” Washington Post Series

The co-chairs of the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities’ (CCD’s) Social Security task force have issued a statement on the second article in the Washington Post’s series “Disabled America”. The second story, “Generations, disabled,” was published on June 2. The statement points out several flawed assumptions contained in the article, and characterizes the article’s reporting as “report[ing] by anecdote and stereotype”. ANCOR signed on to letters expressing concern over the first article in the series, and joins CCD and other organizations in their concerns over the most recent article as well.
