CCD Urges Senators to Not Adopt Harmful AHCA Medicaid Provisions

In a letter dated May 19, ANCOR joined with dozens of other national disability organizations to urge Senators to ensure that the Senate version of the American Health Care Act (AHCA) does not include the significant cuts to the Medicaid program that were an integral part of the House-passed version of the bill. In addition to addressing specific proposals currently in the AHCA that would impose per capita caps, relax essential health benefit requirements, and high-risk pools, the letter urges that the Senate ensure that the legislative process be transparent and deliberative, including public hearings, stakeholder meetings, and open comment periods on discussion drafts.
