CDC Director Removed After One Month; Senior Officials Resign

Just one month after her confirmation by the U.S. Senate, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Susan Monarez has been removed from her position. According to a White House official, Monarez was dismissed after refusing to align the agency with President Donald Trump’s agenda.
