CMS Extends Deadline to Comment on HCBS Quality Metrics

As an update on a previous article, ANCOR is sharing that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced it will be giving advocates more time to comment on its request for information (RFI) on developing quality metrics for the Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services. Specifically, the deadline to comment has been pushed back to November 18. The RFI seeks “feedback on potential benefits of and challenges that could result from a nationally available set of recommended quality measures for voluntary use by states, managed care organizations, and other entities engaged in the administration and/or delivery of Medicaid-funded home and community-based services (HCBS).”

Using feedback from a member-driven work group, ANCOR is in the process of finalizing comments for this RFI. We will share the comments once submitted.
