CMS Provides Training for State Survey Agencies and Accrediting Organizations

Last week the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a new training on its Quality, Safety and Education Portal developed for State Survey Agency and Accrediting Organization surveyors in surveying compliance for the Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination rule. This rule establishes COVID-19 vaccination requirements for staff at certain Medicaid-funded facilities, including Intermediate Care Facilities, and requires each provider to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure all staff, are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
