CMS Releases New Request for Information

Last week the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a Request for Information (RFI) that seeks input from stakeholders across the health system about their experiences with CMS payment policies and quality programs. The Make Your Voice Heard RFI is broken up into four separate topics: accessing health care and related challenges, understanding provider experiences, advancing health equity, and the impact of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) waivers and flexibilities.

The RFI is an important opportunity for community providers to weigh in with CMS and highlight the issues most significantly affecting providers, including workforce retention and the ability to serve certain populations. Comments must be submitted through the web portal by November 4.

ANCOR encourages all members to respond to the RFI. In the coming weeks, ANCOR will provide instructions and a template for members that will focus on highlighting the workforce crisis and its impact on access to services.
