On April 10, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a major policy directive to state Medicaid agencies, announcing it will no longer approve or extend Section 1115 demonstration waivers that include federal matching funds for Designated State Health Programs (DSHP) or DSIPS.
