Americans with Disabilities Act Resources

In July, the nation celebrates the 29th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) being signed into law. This landmark legislation prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of disability and helps ensure all Americans have equal access to employment. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration posted a page on its WorkforceGPS website highlighting government and nonprofit entities providing technical assistance resources to support American Job Centers, employers, and people with disabilities. Included are the Job Accommodation Network, the ADA National Network, the U.S. Access Board, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the U.S. Department of Justice’s ADA.gov.
