On June 18 the House Ways and Means Committee, which oversees tax issues, held a hearing titled “Tax Relief to Support Workers and Families during the COVID-19 Recession.” Video of the hearing and written versions of witnesses’ testimony are available here. Discussions surrounding the disparities in COVID-19 measures included people with disabilities, and some of the written testimony addressed the need for stimulus payments to include parents who have adult children with disabilities as dependents. ANCOR has been advocating on this issue through its coalition work ever since the pandemic began.
