House Holds Hearing on Experiences of Vulnerable Populations During Disasters

On July 28, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure held a hearing titled “Experiences of Vulnerable Populations During Disasters,” which featured discussion of how emergency plans often do not account for the needs of people with disabilities, leading to greater risk of institutionalization.
