On November 2nd, U.S. Representatives Mimi Walters (R-CA), Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) proposed the Workflex in the 21st Century Act, which would create a proposed paid leave plan to be covered by employers. Specifically, the bill “would exempt businesses from having to comply with state paid leave laws if they offer a minimum level of paid time off and at least one flexible working arrangement like a compressed work schedule, biweekly work program, telecommuting program, job-sharing program, or a flexible or predictable schedule.” Read the full article here.

While a copy of the bill is not yet available, ANCOR will monitor it and inform members of any developments.
