Industry Op-Ed on Self-Driving Vehicle Safety

Given ANCOR’s recent coverage of the AV START UP Act, which would allow car manufacturers to being testing and marketing self-driving vehicles, we are sharing an op-ed on self-driving vehicles crafted by a member of the Coalition for Future Mobility. The op-ed calls for industry leadership in addressing safety.

ANCOR is a member of the Coalition because of the potential self-driving vehicles have to improve the independence of people with disabilities. ANCOR is also deeply committed to the notion that technology must first promote the safety of its users.
